In this session, members will discuss HR?s role in keeping their international travelers and expatriates safe and secure including: 1. What are the best practices for preparing your expatriates? 2. What is the HR executive?s role in keeping their expatriates safe while on assignment? 3. How does Duty of Care fit in with expatriates and their families? 4. What are key strategies to implement once you get back to the office? Speaker: Pablo Weisz, Regional Security Manager - Americas Based in Los Angeles, Pablo is primarily responsible for developing evacuation/communication strategies and training programs in support of client operations in the Americas region. Pablo travels extensively in the Americas region for information collection purposes and for the production of evacuation planning and delivery of security awareness training. Pablo played a critical role with the Philadelphia Crisis Management Team that coordinated evacuations out of Haiti, Chile, Egypt, Libya and Japan. Prior to joining Travel Security Services, Pablo worked as a Senior Consultant for Control Risks in Mexico City and Sao Paulo. His responsibilities included the production and delivery of in-depth security management solutions, threat assessments and preventive security training for local and international clients. His projects ran the gamut of crisis and security consulting, from the assessment and pre-event consultation phase to the implementation and post-event response and analysis. Pablo holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where he worked for the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence. He speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese. The Global HR Consortium has over a 125 global member companies.
